Description:
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Database Management Systems (DBMS), equipping learners with the knowledge and practical skills needed to design, create, manage, and maintain databases. Learners will explore database concepts, relational database models, entity-relationship diagrams, database architecture, and normalization techniques.
The course covers SQL fundamentals, including creating databases and tables, inserting and updating records, retrieving information, deleting data, and writing advanced queries using joins, aggregate functions, and subqueries. Learners will also study database constraints, transactions, security, backup and recovery, and performance optimization.
Through practical exercises and hands-on projects using MySQL, learners will develop the skills to build and manage relational databases for real-world applications, including student management systems and other information systems.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to design efficient databases, write SQL queries confidently, maintain data integrity, and apply database management principles to practical computing and business problems.
